Submitting your dataOnce logged in, the first step is to submit your data in the form of haplotypes. These will be kept private and secure, and will be stored on our system for about one week. As soon as the haplotype data has been processed and accepted, you can see a MARKER map of linkage disequilibrium between your markers, and shortly afterwards, an ENTROPY link will appear on the page for that dataset. Estimating error ratesThe second step is to select a subset of your markers as htSNPs. Visit the dataset information page for the temporary dataset you have submitted. In the right-hand panel, a link to ENTROPY should be visible within minutes of the dataset being successfully submitted. Follow the ENTROPY link to see a page listing which of your SNPs have been selected using the unstructured tagging algorithm. You may then add or remove tagging SNPs using the checkboxes, but ensure that all of the haplotypes are distinguished (you can verify this by recomputing the entropy of the selected set). Finally, press the button to start the error rates calculation going. This takes typically a few minutes and the results, once computed, will be available from your results page. The results will typically disappear after one week of the original submission. |
